Seat a guest and move an order to another table
Open a table for new guests, move guests who change seats, and clear the table when they leave.
Steps
- 1
Open the table list
Tap Tables in the sidebar, then choose a floor area tab such as Belcony or Lawn. All Tables is an overview only.
- 2
Seat the guests
Tap a green Available table, then choose Add Customer, or Add & Assign to POS to start their order right away.
- 3
Move them to another table
Tap the occupied table, then on the guest row choose Change Table. Find the table in Search tables... and tap Move Customer.
- 4
Clear the table
On the guest row, use the clear-seat button and enter the Cashier PIN. EnakPOS confirms with "Seat cleared".
Table colours follow the orders automatically: green is free, amber is seated, red has a running order. Change Table cannot be used offline.
Good to know
A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.
Table colours are not set by hand
Green is free, amber means guests are seated, red means an order is running. EnakPOS works this out from the live orders, so you cannot force a table to Occupied.
Changing the layout needs a PIN
The All Tables tab is view-only. To move tables around, add one, or change the floor plan image, open a single floor-area tab, tap Edit Layout and enter a Supervisor or Owner PIN. Remember Save Layout before you leave.
While you are offline
Change Table cannot be used without internet and shows "Unavailable while offline". If guests move table during an outage, put it in the order note and move them properly once you are back online.
