Steps

  1. 1

    Tap + Add Customer

In the cart panel on the right, tap + Add Customer. The Add New Customer window opens.

  2. 2

    Choose the order type

Pick the Order Type: Dine In, Dine In (No Table) or Takeaway. Only the types your venue has switched on appear.

  3. 3

Set the table and guest count

For Dine In, choose the Table Number from the list and enter Number of Guests. Without a table, EnakPOS refuses to save and shows "Please select a table for dine-in orders".

  4. 4

    Enter the name and save

Fill in Name (required), plus Email and Phone if the guest wants a receipt. Tap Add Guest for a one-off guest, or Create Customer for a regular.

If the email is already taken, EnakPOS shows "This email is already in use by another active customer". Offline, the table list comes from saved data and is marked "(offline — from cached tables)".

Good to know

A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.

What is the difference between Add Guest and Create Customer?

Add Guest is for someone who comes once, and the name stays with that order only. Create Customer saves them as a regular, so you can find them again, use loyalty, and later allow them to pay on account.

Why the table number matters

The table number travels with the order: the kitchen screen shows "Table: 12" on the ticket, the queue board uses it to run food out, and the Tables page uses it to mark the table busy. For food to go, choose Takeaway so the kitchen ticket carries the TAKEAWAY pill.

Order types differ from venue to venue

The Order Type list comes from the POS Order Types setting in EnakVP. If your venue only uses one type, EnakPOS hides the row entirely.
