Steps

  1. 1

    Open the order in Cashier

Tap Cashier in the sidebar, then select the order you need to remove. Check you have the right bill.

  2. 2

    Tap Actions at the bottom

Tap Actions next to Proceed to Payment. Choose Reject / Cancel Order to remove it, or Compliment Order to give the whole bill for free.

  3. 3

    Write the reason

Fill in Reason, for example "customer left, wrong order". It is optional, but it makes the report readable later. For a comp, pick a Category if your venue uses them.

  4. 4

    Decide what happens to stock

To cancel, choose Cancel all (Return stock) when the food can still be sold, or Reject all (as waste, no return to stock) when it has been thrown away. Compliment Order always deducts stock.

  5. 5

    Enter the Cashier PIN

EnakPOS asks for a Cashier PIN so the decision has a name against it. The order then moves to the Rejected or Compliment tab on the Cashier page.

An order that has already been paid cannot be cancelled at the counter. For a single item, use the Actions chip on the item row instead of the Actions button at the bottom.

Good to know

A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.

Cancel, reject and comp are three different things

Cancel all (Return stock) puts the ingredients back. Reject all (as waste, no return to stock) records them as lost. Compliment Order still deducts stock and still records the price, because the food really was made and given away.

Where each one lands in your reports

The EnakVP Sales Report keeps them apart: Voided (returned to stock), noted as no financial impact, Waste with its estimated cost, and Complimentary in the sales summary. What you pick at the till decides which line moves.

Why it asks for a PIN

Cancelling or comping an order changes recorded money, so EnakPOS asks for a Cashier PIN and stores who authorised it. That is what makes the report trustworthy, and it protects the staff who did not do it.

The reason is optional but worth writing

Reason can be left blank, but it is the only explanation left when the owner reads the report next week. "Customer left" and "kitchen misread the ticket" point at very different fixes.
