Steps

  1. 1

    Open Cash Movement

Tap Cash Movement in the EnakPOS sidebar. You can open it any time while the register is open.

  2. 2

Choose Cash Out or Cash In

Cash Out is money leaving the drawer (Drop, deposit, petty cash). Cash In is money going in (Float, top-up). Cash Out is selected first.

  3. 3

    Enter the Amount and Reason

Enter the Amount in Rupiah, then a Reason such as "End of day cash drop". Reason is required. The Notes field is optional.

  4. 4

Check the figures, then tap Record

The grey box shows Expected cash now and After this movement. Check it against what is left in the drawer, then tap Record.

  5. 5

See it land in the recap

Open Daily Recap in the sidebar. The Cash in and Cash out rows move, and Expected cash in drawer now updates on its own.

Cash Movement does not close the shift and does not change your sales totals. For the cash you start with, use Opening Cash Amount when you open the register.

Good to know

A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.

Why it has to be recorded, not just taken

Expected cash is the opening float plus cash payments, less Cash Out and plus Cash In. Money taken without a record turns up as a shortfall in Close Register, and by the next morning nobody can explain it.

It never touches your sales totals

Cash Movement is a drawer record, not an order. Total sales in Daily Recap only counts paid orders, so a cash drop of any size leaves your sales figures alone.

Where the number shows up

Cash In and Cash Out appear in Daily Recap, in the Close Register window under Cash In / Out, and on the printed recap as the Cash In and Cash Out lines. The printed recap carries only the totals, not each reason, so write a Reason that still makes sense later.

Cash Out comes first because it happens most

The window opens with Cash Out already selected, because drops and petty cash are far more common than topping the drawer up. Tap Cash In when the money is going the other way.
