Steps

  1. 1

    Tap ⊕ Custom Item

At the top of the Home screen, tap ⊕ Custom Item. The Create Custom Item window opens.

  2. 2

    Enter a PIN

Enter a Supervisor, Manager or Owner PIN, then tap Verify & Continue. Regular staff cannot create custom items.

  3. 3

    Set the name and price

Type the item name and a short description, or tap Show Quick Templates for options like Extra Portion or Special Request. Tick the sales channels you sell it on and give each one a price.

  4. 4

Choose a service area and save

Pick the service area so it prints at the right station, then tap Add Item. It drops straight into the cart.

EnakPOS refuses to save without a channel ("Choose at least one sales channel"), without a price, or without a service area.

Good to know

A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.

Why a service area is required

The service area decides which printer and kitchen screen receive the item. Without it, a custom item may never reach the kitchen or the bar.

When to make it a proper menu item instead

Custom items suit genuinely one-off sales. If you sell the same thing repeatedly, have it added as a menu item in EnakVP so it reports cleanly and can be stock-counted.

A price for each channel

Every sales channel you tick needs its own price, exactly like a normal menu item. If it is only sold at the counter, ticking the Regular channel is enough.
