Steps

  1. 1

    Install EnakPay Agent

On the Android tablet connected to your printers, open enakpay.app/download/agent and install the app.

  2. 2

    Create a pairing code

In EnakVP, go to Settings > Venue Settings > Printer Settings, then tap Pair New Device and Generate Code.

  3. 3

Enter the code on the tablet

On the tablet, enter the Pairing Key and then the code. The code expires after a few minutes, so generate a new one if it lapses.

  4. 4

    Point printers at areas

On the tablet, set which printer serves each service area, such as the kitchen or the bar.

  5. 5

    Send a test print

Back in EnakVP, open Venue Management > Service Areas, then tap Test Printer and Send Test Print for that area.

"Test print queued" means the job was sent, not that it printed. If no paper comes out, check Tools > Printer Jobs, or send us a photo of the printer on WhatsApp.

Good to know

A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.

Two ways of printing

Epson TM-i printers can talk to the system directly with no tablet. Other printers print through the EnakPay Agent tablet, over the network or by Bluetooth.

Each area has its printer

Orders reach a printer through their service area, and the area comes from the menu category. If food prints at the bar, the menu category is usually linked to the wrong area.

"Test print queued" does not mean it printed

That message only means the job was sent. If no paper comes out, check Tools > Printer Jobs in EnakVP, then make sure the printer is on, has paper, and the Agent tablet is awake.
