Steps

  1. 1

    Open Opening Hours

In EnakVP, go to Venue Management > Opening Hours. The page has two tables: Venue Hours at the top, and Menu Hours underneath.

  2. 2

Tap Edit on the venue row

In the Venue Hours table, tap Edit at the right of your venue’s row. The Edit panel opens with a section for every day.

  3. 3

    Set each day

For each day, fill in Open Time and Close Time. Times use the 12-hour clock, such as 10:00 AM and 09:00 PM.

  4. 4

Add a second sitting if you close midday

If you close between two sittings, tap Add to sunday (or the day you need) to add a second set of times for that day. The red bin icon removes a sitting.

  5. 5

    Save

Scroll to the bottom of the Edit panel and tap Submit. The new hours apply straight away, and guests can only order inside them.

  6. 6

Pause ordering when you need to

If the kitchen needs to stop for a while, tap Suspend Entire Menu at the top right of the Opening Hours page.

  7. 7

    Confirm with your password

The Suspend All Orders? window asks for your account password. Type it in and tap Confirm. The badge next to the title changes to Suspended and guests can no longer order.

  8. 8

    Open again

When you are ready to take orders, tap the green Resume Entire Menu at the top right. The Resume Accepting Orders? window asks for your password once more, then tap Confirm. The badge goes back to Open.

The Open or Suspended badge next to the Opening Hours title tells you where your venue stands right now.

Good to know

A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.

Venue hours versus menu times

Venue hours decide when guests can order at all. Menu times decide which menu shows when, for example breakfast until 11am and then the main menu.

Suspend overrides everything

Suspend Entire Menu stops all guest ordering whatever the menu times say. Use it when the kitchen is overwhelmed or stock runs out, then tap Resume Entire Menu to reopen.

The till keeps working

Pausing guest ordering does not close the till. Your team can still take orders in EnakPOS, so walk-in guests are served as normal.
