Use promo labels to group your items

Steps

  1. 1

    Open Promo Labels

In EnakVP, go to Your Menu > Promo Labels and tap New Promo Label.

  2. 2

    Fill in the label

Put a short name in Label, such as Happy Hour. That is what reports group by and what shows on the item in EnakPOS. The Description is for your team only: nothing shows it to a guest.

  3. 3

    Tag your dishes

Go to Your Menu > Menu Management, open the menu with View, edit a dish, then pick the label in its Promo Labels field. One dish can carry at most two labels.

  4. 4

Read it back in the report

In Report & Payouts > Sales Report, the Promo Labels section shows Qty, Rp Sales (Excl Tax) and Rp Sales (Incl Tax) for each label. The Items tagged column on the Promo Labels page tells you how many dishes carry one.

A promo label changes no price at all. It is only a marker. For a real discount, build a promotion under Marketing > Promotion Management.

Good to know

A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.

Label, promotion, or the Promo toggle?

Three things with similar names. Promo Labels only group items for reporting. Promotion Management changes real prices, with a schedule and limits. The Promo toggle on an item just flags it as promotional. Only the middle one touches money.

The two-label limit

A dish can only carry two labels. That cap keeps the report readable: one dish can appear on two Promo Labels rows, so those rows must never be added up. The report says as much itself.

Guests never see the Description

The Description is for your team alone. Use it for why the label exists, such as "Monday to Thursday discount menu, ends December", so whoever follows you knows what is safe to delete later.
