Chase unpaid on-account bills
See who still owes your venue money, how much, and which bills have already gone onto an invoice.
Steps
- 1
Open Pending Payments
In EnakVP, go to Report & Payouts > Pending Payments. Only a Manager or Owner can open it. The three cards at the top are Customers with Balance, Pending Orders and Total Outstanding.
- 2
Filter by customer or by date
Use the Customer filter for one account, or From and To to narrow it to a range of order dates. The three cards follow whatever filters you apply.
- 3
Read the Outstanding column
Outstanding is what one order still owes: the order total less the payments that have genuinely landed. A payment still in transit does not count yet. The Invoice column reads either Invoiced #INV-00001 or Not invoiced.
- 4
Move a bill to another customer
Billed to the wrong name? Tap Assign on the row, pick the right person under Assign to, then tap Assign bill. If the order is already on an invoice, EnakVP asks you to void that invoice first.
A customer you removed still shows here, with a red Removed badge. Tap Restore on the row to put them back in the customer list. Nothing about the bill changes. This page only reports: taking the money is still the cashier's job.
Good to know
A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.
What an on-account bill is
An on-account bill is a tab: the cashier charged the order to a customer account instead of taking money there and then. It stays on this page until it is settled. Cashiers can only do it when the Allow Pending Payment (Charge to Customer) setting is on in General Settings.
Two different Outstanding figures
Outstanding here is what one order still owes. Outstanding on an invoice is the invoice total less the payments against that invoice. The two can differ, and that is normal: one counts per order, the other per document.
This page takes no money
Pending Payments only reports. Settling still happens at the till in EnakPOS, or through Record Payment on the invoice. No button on this page moves money.
Manager and Owner only
The page is closed to Supervisors and Staff, even though a Supervisor can authorise a refund at the till. What customers owe is treated as the owner's business, not the floor's.
