Steps

  1. 1

Promotions: the banner on your venue page

When a promotion is running, a bright View Promotions banner sits at the top of your venue page. It only appears when there is something to show, so guests are never sent to an empty page.

  2. 2

    Live Promotions and Upcoming Deals

The promotions page has two parts. Live Promotions is what a guest can use now. Upcoming Deals is marked (Not Available at this time), so a happy hour starting at five is already visible at lunchtime without being claimable early.

  3. 3

    Which dishes carry a deal

On the menu itself, a dish on promotion carries a Promo Available label, so even guests who never open the promotions page still see it. Promotion values are set per sales channel in EnakVP, so a deal can run in EnakApp only.

  4. 4

Events: only when the Events module is on

The events page lists each event with its schedule, its price and one of three labels: Booking open, Sold out or Bookings closed. While it says Booking open, a Book your place form sits underneath asking how many people are coming and who to contact.

  5. 5

Reservations: Book a table and the group link

The reservation page is headed Book a table and only sends a request, which your venue then confirms. For a group reservation the guest gets one link: anyone who opens it adds their name on Join this table, then taps Add items from the menu, and the kitchen knows which dish belongs to whom.

Events and reservations only exist while their modules are on. You can switch them on yourself in EnakVP under Settings, in General Settings: the Events & Bookings module and the Reservations module. Until then the event and reservation addresses show a page not found.

Good to know

A little more depth, so your team understands why, not just which button.

Guests have no navigation menu

The guest app is deliberately built without a navigation menu. Promotions are reached from the banner on your venue page, while events and reservations are reached from a link you hand out: a QR, your Instagram bio, or your own website. Put those links where guests already look.

What Booking open, Sold out and Bookings closed mean

Booking open means seats are left and the booking window is open. Sold out means the seats are gone. Bookings closed means the window has shut even though seats remain. Only Booking open brings up the Book your place form.

The group preorder link is the only key

A group reservation gets one link, and that link is the guest’s only credential. Anyone who opens it can add their name on Join this table and start adding dishes. Treat it like a key and share it only with that group.

Upcoming Deals works for you

A promotion with a future start date appears on its own under Upcoming Deals, with its schedule. So set the schedule when you build the promotion in EnakVP and the guest page fills itself in.
