How to Delete Stock from a Menu Item

Removing a stock record will stop the system from tracking that item's inventory. The item will remain on the menu but will no longer auto-toggle availability when quantities change.

Important: The Delete button only appears when the Initial Quantity and the Current Quantity are exactly equal. If they differ, you must first adjust the stock to bring the two values into alignment before the Delete button will appear.

To align Initial and Current Quantity before deleting:

  1. Navigate to Your Menu → Stock Management

  2. Click Edit on the menu item

  3. Note the difference between Initial Quantity and Current Quantity

  4. In the Adjustment Quantity field, enter the value needed to make the Current Quantity match the Initial Quantity (e.g. if Initial is 20 and Current is 14, enter +6)

  5. Add an Adjustment Reason and click Save Changes

  6. Reopen the item — the Delete button should now be visible

To delete the stock record:

  1. Navigate to Your Menu → Stock Management

  2. Locate the menu item and click Edit

  3. Click Delete at the top right

  4. Confirm the action by clicking Yes, Delete
