How to Create a New Modifier Option

Modifier options are the individual selections within a modifier group — for example, "Regular" and "Large" within a "Size" group. They are created in the Modifier Options tab and then linked to one or more modifier groups.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Your Menu → Modifiers

  2. Click on the Modifier Options tab

  3. Click Add Modifier Option and complete the following fields:

    • Modifier Option Name — An internal reference name used to distinguish this option from others that may share the same Short Name. Since different items may offer the same size but at different prices, each requires a separate option. (e.g. "Smoothie Regular", "Smoothie Large", "Coffee Regular", "Coffee Large" — all of which may share "Regular" or "Large" as their Short Name)

    • Short Name — The name visible to customers on the Customer App and POS. (e.g. "Regular", "Large")

    • Display Price — The price change displayed to customers when they select this option. Leave blank if there is no price change. Use a negative format to indicate a reduction (e.g. -15k) and a positive format for an increase (e.g. +15k).

    • Price — The actual numeric price adjustment applied to the customer's bill when this option is selected. Enter a negative number to reduce the total (e.g. -15000), a positive number to increase it (e.g. +15000), or 0 if there is no price change.

    • Available — Indicates whether this option is currently available for selection. If stock management is configured for this modifier option and stock reaches zero, this will toggle OFF automatically, preventing customers and staff from selecting it.

  4. Click Create or Create & Create Another

Next step: Once created, the modifier option must be linked to a modifier group before it will appear on any menu item. See the guide How to Link a Modifier Option to a Modifier Group.
